The work of Arquer Buigas is extensive; although his primary subject is the female figure—and particularly the nape of the neck—it ranges from portraiture to landscapes, nudes, horses, and more.
His technique focused on pastels, oil, and charcoal.
His work is held in private collections across Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United States, among others.
In 2011, one of his pieces was selected as part of the 50 works featured in the exhibition presented during the BP Portrait Award at the National Portrait Gallery in London.
